The Ritz Theaters is one of the nation's most unique art deco landmarks, and East central Alabama's premier performing art center, with World - Class performances in music, dance, theater, and comedy. It is also the region's largest art - education classroom for students.A theater that nurtures and showcases homegrown talent.
It was built in 1898 and is located within the "Old Town Brunswick" District. In 1990 the Golden Isles Arts and Humanities Association assumed responsbility for manging the Ritz Theatre for the City of Brunswick, and in 1991,GIAHA was designated the coordinating arts council for Glynn County and the City of Brunswick.The Ritz Theatre again is returning to its roots.
